1) Installation
To installing JoomRSS, you need to install System Requirements and install Basic Components.
System Requirements
- Joomla! 3.2 or higher
- PHP 5.6 or higher
Installing Basic Components
The installation of JoomRSS is similar to any other Joomla! Extension.
If you are familiar with Joomla already, you can stop reading this part and install the JoomRSS extension yourself as other regular Joomla extensions.
- Go to Joomla Backend > Extensions > Extension Manager
Browse the file (com_JoomRSS_version.zip) and click [Upload & Install]
Click the <<Upload>> button to continue with the installation. If there is no error occurs, you will see the successful screen of the installation.
These simple steps are everything needed to install the basic component for JoomRSS. Now you can access its Dashboard through your Joomla Administrator Components menu.
2) Uninstallation:
To Uninstall JoomRSS Component and its Plugin, just go to your Joomla Extensions Manager in the Administrator.
- Choose the <<Manage>> menu in Extension Manager page

After getting to Extension Manager: Manage, use the search box to find the JoomRSS plugin you want to purge out of your Joomla website, then click the <<Uninstall>> button at the top.To completely remove JoomRSS or its plugin from your system, you only have to choose the JoomRSS Component and click Uninstall. All other associated plugin will be deleted automatically.
