JoomPMS configuration

JoomPMS configuration let you enable and disable some features like carbon copy, self-messaging , ACL and many more.

Login to backend then go to Components -> JoomPMS -> Configuration

1) PMS Tab

  • Display Name format
    Set the display name format to use for your users (name or username).
  • Low Levels of Hierarchy
    If choose 'yes', sender can choose user in the lower levels of hierarchy as their receiver.
  • Use Joomla Editor
    Enable/Disable editor from joomla. If choose 'yes', you can write a message via the editor of joomla (only in text area).
  • Allow Captcha
    on My MSG Select the captcha plugin that will be used in the My MSG. You may need to enter required information for your captcha plugin in the Plugin Manager. If 'Use Default'is selected, make sure a captcha plugin is selected in Global Configuration.
  • Self­-Messaging
    If choose 'yes', allow a user to send a message to himself
  • Send full text message to email
    If choose 'yes', it allows user to send all text messages directly to the email. So, receiver doesn't have to click a link in the email to read the text in the inbox of My MSG.
  • Custom Message Subject
    In this field, users are allowed to assign a subject in front or at the back of the Site­page Subject. It will support only 'one' set of 'Custom Tag': {msg_subject} : Message subject.
  • Custom Message Content
    In this field, you can choose the texts you want to be displayed. Those texts can be mixed with texts from Site­page by assigning 4 types of Custom Tag :
    • {msg_content} : Message Content
    • {msg_link} : Link to Message
    • {msg_id} : Message id
    • {user_sender} : User Sender
  • Create Message
    • Access Method
      Set the user group to have Create Message Permission. You can choose Select All, Select others except in the list and Select only in the list.
      • All : Enable all user group (Close Categories selection below)
      • Exclude : Choose not to use selected user group
      • Include : Choose to use selected user group
    • Select Access Group
      If method is not set as all, you can identify specific user group for create messages.
  • Receiver
    • Method
      Set the user group to be displayed in the Receiver Field. You can choose Select All, Select others except in the list and Select only in the list.
      • All : Enable all user group (Close Categories selection below)
      • Exclude : Choose not to use selected user group
      • Include : Choose to use selected user group
    • Select Group
      If method is not set as all, you can identify specific user group that you want their name list to be displayed in the Receiver field.
    • Force Sender
      Choose who will be the sender. The chosen sender can only send message to the user group in 'Force Receiver'(This will work only when you choose the user group in Force Sender and Force Receiver).
    • Force Receiver
      Choose who will be the receiver. User group in 'Force Sender'can only send message to the user group in 'Force Receiver' (This will work only when you choose the user group in Force Sender and Force Receiver).
  • Carbon Copy
    • Hide 'Carbon Copy'
      If choose 'yes', 'Carbon Copy' field is hidden from frontend.
    • Access Method
      Set the user group to use the Carbon Copy field. You can choose Select All, Select others except in the list and Select only in the list.
      • All : Enable all user group (Close Categories selection below)
      • Exclude : Choose not to use selected user group
      • Include : Choose to use selected user group
    • Select Access Group
      If method is not set as all, you can identify specific user group that you want to be access the Carbon Copy field.
    • Method
      Set the user group to be displayed in the Carbon Copy field. You can choose Select All, Select others except in the list and Select only in the list.
      • All : Enable all user group (Close Categories selection below)
      • Exclude : Choose not to use selected user group
      • Include : Choose to use selected user group
    • Select Group
      If method is not set as all, you can identify specific user group that you want their name list to be displayed in the Carbon Copy field.
  • Reply Messages
    • Access Method
      Set the user group to have Reply Messages Permission. You can choose Select All, Select others except in the list and Select only in the list.
      • All : Enable all user group (Close Categories selection below)
      • Exclude : Choose not to use selected user group
      • Include : Choose to use selected user group
    • Select Access Group
      If method is not set as all, you can identify specific user group that you want to be access the reply message function.
  • Attach files
    • Enable Attach File
      If choose 'yes', 'Attachment File' field is enable from frontend.
    • Access Method
      Set the user group to use the Attachment field. You can choose Select All, Select others except in the list and Select only in the list.
      • All : Enable all user group (Close Categories selection below)
      • Exclude : Choose not to use selected user group
      • Include : Choose to use selected user group
    • Select Access Group
      If method is not set as all, you can identify specific user group to send out messages with the Attach File.
    • Legal Extensions (File Types)
      Allowed file types for attachments. Add more and use “,” to separate each type
    • Maximum Size (mb)
      The maximum size for an upload (in bytes). Use zero for no limit. Note: your server has a maximum limit.
