Companies

At the top of the JoomCRM Dashboard, navigate to the JoomCRM menu and click "Companies".This section gives you an overview of all of your companies. From here you may "Import Companies", "Export Companies", "Add a Company", View, Filter, and Find companies.

Filtering

By clicking on the "all companies" option, you may filter companies in a variety of ways from all companies, companies with tasks due today, tasks due tomorrow, recently added companies etc.You may also filter by all users, a team, a manager, a user, and more.In addition, by clicking the text "any category" you can filter by any custom company category that you may have created in the "Using the Back End Guide". For purpose of this guide, categories titled Banking & Finance, Transportation, Science & Biotech, Sales & Marketing, Retail, Government, Tech etc. were created.You may also filter companies by typing the part or all of the company's name in the "anything" box as well as Import or Export your companies via a CSV file by clicking the down arrow button to the right of the "Add Company" button and select "Import Companies" or "Export Companies".

Additionally, by clicking the "Select Columns" button in the upper right corner, you may select which columns of Company information that you wish to display. To add a column, place a checkbox next to the type of column that you wish to add. To remove a column of information, uncheck the column that you wish to remove. By clicking the "Show Filters" button in the upper right corner, you may also search for a particular company by typing in the associated or corresponding search box. Once finished, to clear out or reset the search criteria, click the reset filters button in the upper right corner which only appears after clicking the "Show Filters" button.

How to Create a New Company

To create a company within JoomCRM, either click the "Add Company" button on the Companies page, or click the "Create" button in the top right corner for a drop down menu item titled "Create New Company". After clicking, a new web page will appear titled "Add Company". On this page, enter the required and applicable information of the new company. Once finished, click the save button at the bottom to save.

  • Name - is the name or title of the company
  • Phone - is the phone number of the company
  • Category - is the industry in which the company resides such as Banking & Finance, Retail, or Tech
  • Fax - is the fax number of the company
  • Email - is the email address of the company
  • Website - is the website of the company
  • Description - is a quick summary of the company
  • Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Youtube - are the companies social media and other web links to third party websites.
  • Owner - is the JoomCRM user who is responsible for interacting with said company

Editing an Existing Company

To edit an existing company, go to the Companies menu item, and click on the name of the company or organization.The company that you clicked on will open up the company's web page.From here, by clicking the "Edit" button you can edit all of the company's information. Once finished, click "save". It will return you to the company's web page. Other things you can do from the company's web page is add a note, add a deal, add a person, upload a file, view the latest activities, view the latest tasks, view the latest events, add a task, add an event, etc. In addition, if you click on the Google map icon next to the company's address, it makes a Google map of the company's street address appear.

Deleting a Company

To delete a company (within the company's web page),click the down arrow button (which is to the right of the Edit button). In the drop down menu your options are Delete or Print.To delete, please choose the "Delete" menu item. Alternatively, an easier way to delete from the JoomCRM Dashboard is to navigate to the "Companies" (tab), and click the checkbox to left of the Company name. After the box has been checked, text will appear with the words "Perform actions". click actions, and select "Delete".
