Albums can be found from the JoomMedia Dashboard.
Adding a new album
Once in 'Albums', click 'new' green button to add a new album.
To create your new album there is only one required field, which is the 'Title'. There are optional fields including adding a description, setting the album to featured/published and editing the access levels.
You can also edit the permissions of the album which can be found below this. Simply select the type of user and then choose their permissions from the drop down menu, for the different actions.
There are more settings which you may want to edit including 'Custom thumbnail', 'Media', 'Publishing', 'Ordering' and 'Metadata'. These can be found on the right hand side of the page. When you have finished creating your new album press 'Save & Close'.
This will then take you back to the 'Albums' page where your new album can be found.
Editing an album
Once you have created your album you can go back and make changes to it by selecting it and clicking on 'Edit'.
You can however make some changes to it directly from the Albums page.
You can change whether it is published, it's status and whether it is featured. To do this select the album and then use this toolbar to complete your desired actions.
Simply click on red circle to turn it into a green tick (e.g. to turn an unpublished article into a published one) and vice versa.
You can also make changes to multiple Albums at the same time using the 'Batch process the selected albums' option below the list of albums. To do this select the albums you wish to change and then set the fields before pressing Process.
Changing Album Contents
You can add and remove media from an album within the Album itself (you can also add a media item to an album when editing the media item itself). Go to the album you wish to edit and click on 'Media' on the the right hand side and then select 'Manage Media'.
Once on this page you will be able to select media that is linked to the Album, or All media. To add media to the album select 'All', tick the media you wish to add and thin click 'Add'.
