Reactions are the emoji-style responses members can add to a message. Easy Chat Room gives you seven reaction slots, and you control the name, icon, animation, and on/off state of each. Open the screen from Settings → Reactions in the sidebar.
The reactions table
The screen shows a table with one row for each of the seven reactions. Each row has these columns:
| Column | What it does |
|---|---|
| Reaction Name | The label shown to members when they pick this reaction (for example Like, Love, Haha). |
| Reaction CSS | An animation class name that controls how the reaction animates. Class names come from animate.style. |
| Reaction GIF Icon | The image shown for this reaction. Click the camera button to upload your own. |
| Status | Active makes the reaction available to members; Inactive hides it. |
Changing a reaction
- Find the reaction's row in the table.
- Edit any of its columns — change the name, paste a different animation class, upload a new icon, or switch the status.
- Click Update to save all your changes.
Turning a reaction off
Set its Status to Inactive and click Update. The reaction no longer appears in the reaction picker, but its settings are kept so you can switch it back on later.
You do not have to use all seven reactions. Set the ones you do not want to Inactive so members see a shorter, clearer list.
The Reaction CSS field expects an animation class name from animate.style. Leaving it blank simply means the reaction has no special animation.
