Badges are small icons you can award to members — for example to mark moderators, long-standing members, or contest winners. They appear on a member's profile. Open the badges screen from Users → Member Badges in the sidebar.
Turning badges on
- Open the Member Badges screen.
- Set Enable Badges to Yes.
- Click Update.
When badges are off, the badge list is hidden and badges do not appear anywhere in the chat.
Creating a badge
- With badges enabled, click Add New Badge. A new blank row appears in the badge table.
- Enter a name for the badge.
- Click the camera button and choose an icon image for the badge.
- Set the status to Active so the badge can be used.
- Click Update to save.
Editing a badge
Change the name, icon, or status of any badge directly in the table, then click Update.
Deleting a badge
Click the trash button on a badge's row, then click Update to save the change.
Setting a badge to Inactive hides it without deleting it — useful if you want to retire a badge but keep it on record.
Awarding a badge to a member
Badges are not assigned on this screen — you assign them per member.
- Go to Users → Members and open the member.
- In the Member Badges panel, tick the badges to award.
- Click Assign Badges.
The badges then appear on that member's profile in the chat. See Managing Members for more.
